Individual Counselling
Supporting You on Your Personal Journey
Individual counselling is a one-on-one, confidential service designed to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive space. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply seeking personal growth, counselling offers a chance to better understand yourself and make meaningful changes in your life.
Why Choose Individual Counselling?
Life can be overwhelming, and it’s normal to need support. Individual counselling can help you:
• Gain clarity and insight into personal struggles
• Cope with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma
• Navigate major life transitions or relationship issues
• Build self-esteem and emotional resilience
• Develop practical strategies for change and personal growth
What to Expect
Your counsellor will work with you at your own pace, providing guidance, empathy, and tools tailored to your unique needs. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and may include open conversation, goal setting, reflection, or learning new coping techniques.
Our Therapeutic Approaches
We use a range of evidence-based methods, including:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Challenge and change unhelpful thinking patterns
• Person-Centered Therapy: Foster self-understanding and acceptance
• Psychodynamic Therapy: Explore how past experiences influence present behavior
• Solution-Focused Therapy: Identify practical steps forward
Your Space to Grow
Individual counselling isn’t about giving advice or quick fixes—it’s about helping you discover your own strength, build resilience, and find clarity in a supportive environment. Wherever you are in your journey, we’re here to walk beside you.

Couples Counselling
Reconnect, Communicate, and Grow Together
Relationships can be incredibly rewarding-but they can also be challenging. Couples counselling provides a supportive, neutral space for partners to explore issues, improve communication, and rebuild connection. Whether you’re facing conflict, feeling distant, or simply want to strengthen your bond, therapy can help you move forward together.
What is Couples Counselling?
I am BACP certified and can support you both to address challenges in your relationship. It’s not about assigning blame-it’s about understanding each other better, resolving conflict in healthy ways, and building a stronger foundation. I specialise in integrative therapy which means I am trained to bring the right counselling technique based on your relationship needs rather than just being limited to one specific approach.
How Can It Help?
Couples counselling can support you in:
-
Improving communication.
-
Resolving recurring conflicts.
-
Rebuilding trust.
-
Managing major life changes.
-
Exploring issues around intimacy.
-
Deciding the future together.
What to Expect in a Session
Sessions typically involve both partners. I facilitate open, respectful conversations to help you develop tools to understand and support one another. Sessions usually last 50–60 minutes and are scheduled weekly or biweekly.
I provide face to face relationship counselling in Kilmarnock and the surrounding areas.
